What is a Mortgage Broker?

A Mortgage Broker is a go-between between the borrower and the lender (usually a bank), who negotiates the loan on your behalf. They will do the legwork on researching products on the market from the hundreds available, and then support you through the application and settlement process.

How does a Mortgage Broker get paid?

We get paid a commission from the bank or lender whose home loan rate you end up choosing but that doesn’t mean you’ll pay any extra for your home loan.. There are no added fees into the loan or higher interest rates. There are no upfront costs or fees for appointments.

Gabriel Zappiello from smartline personal mortage advisers shared some information with his fellow Metro Networking colleges at a recent breakfast meeting

Market Update

The RBA has reduced rates by .25%

Most banks/lenders have passed these interest rates cuts on to their home loan products.

Home loan interest rates are at an all time low.. With rates as low as 3.76%
